The Simmons 8-Point rifle scope is one peice tube construction with a matte finish. It is stated to be waterproof, shockproof and fogproof. The windage and elevation adjustments are in 1/4 minute increments. The 8-Point is available in a 3-9 magnification x 40mm objective and a 4-12 magnification x 40mm objective.

The 3-9x40mm version of the Simmons 8-point scope is what came mounted on my savage rifle. I've used it for three years in rain, shine and snow. The 40mm objective lens provides a bright and crisp view on 3x but not as crisp at 9x. It's not much but is noticeable. I sighted in the scope when I purchased rifle and haven't touched it since (yes I do check it before each season). I even dropped the rifle the first season when the sling came apart. When I fired a few test shots they were right on target. If you are looking for a 3-9 at a reasonable price, I would recommend this scope.
